The arrival of summer means hot bright sunny days, vacations, and other amazing outdoor activities; but with this, it also gives your suntan! Due to the high exposure of skin to the sun, your skin turns darker in shade and at times may even burn. There are several sunscreens available in the market, which protect you from suntan. However, most of the sunscreens are not quite effective and the chemical components can damage your skin in the long run. You can use the below mentioned natural suntan removal formulas to save your skin:


Aloe –Vera and lemon:

Lemon has high citric content that lightens skin tone while Aloe Vera heals sunburn and improves skin texture. Add a few drops of lemon juice to 1 scoop Aloe Vera pulp (gel). Apply it on your face and rinse with cold water after 15 minutes.

Papaya and salt: Papaya nourishes the skin from within and gives a glowing skin while salt deeply exfoliates your skin by removing suntan.


In 2 teaspoons of papaya pulp, add ¼-teaspoon salt and make a paste. Apply it on your face and wash it after 15 minutes.

Fuller’s earth and potato juice:

Fuller’s earth has great skin lightening properties while potato helps in reducing suntan and discoloration. The lactic acid in yogurt brightens and lightens your skin tone while tomato cleanses your skin. Mix 1-tablespoon tomato pulp and 1 -tablespoon yogurt in a bowl until you get a smooth paste. Apply the paste on areas of suntan removal and rinse after 15-20 minutes.
