Turmeric Paste Recipe


    1. Turmeric powder – 1/4 Cup
    2. Water – 1/2 Cup Filtered water (Add more water if necessary)
    3. Ground pepper – 1/2 Tsp (optional)
    4. Almond oil / Olive oil / Clarified butter – 1/2 Tsp (optional)

1. Take a pan and mix turmeric powder and water in it and put on medium heat.

2. Keep cooking till its raw smell of turmeric goes away. (You can add more water if you need.)

3. When completely cooked, add clarified butter and pepper to it and remove it from heat.

4. Keep the paste into an airtight container for use for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Turmeric Tea Recipe


1) Turmeric Paste – 1/4 to 1/2 Tsp

2) Water – 1 Cup

3) Ginger – pinch grated.

4) Lemon Juice – 5 ml

5) Honey – depends on taste


  • Use a pan on medium heat and add grated ginger and water to it.
  • Now, add the Turmeric paste to it and allow it to boil.
  • Lastly, mix it well by adding lemon juice and honey.
  • Sieve it in a glass and your turmeric tea is ready to serve.

Turmeric Milk Recipe


1) Turmeric Paste – 1/2 Tsp

2) Milk – 1 Cup

3) Grated Ginger – A Pinch

4) Cardamom powder – 1/8 tsp

5) Ground Pepper – 1/8 Tsp

6) Palm Sugar – depends on taste

7) Saffron – few strands

8) Water – a little bit


~ Take a pan on medium heat. Add grated ginger and a little bit of water to boil (fresh ginger sometimes may curdle the milk). So, if you boil it in the water it can prevent that.

~ Then, add the milk, turmeric paste, ground pepper, ground cardamom and boil it.

~ Then, add palm sugar (Panam Karkand) to it. Now, strain it into a glass and top it with saffron, once the palm sugar is dissolved. Now, your healthy, delicious Turmeric Milk is ready.

In addition to the above, you may grate the turmeric and store it in the refrigerator for quick use in recipes.
